UTAP Video Contest Rules and Regulations

Rules & Regulations – Online Version

UTAP video contest allows the participants to showcase their speaking skills, while learning and growing at the same time. We are committed to nurturing the future generation of professional actors and public speakers while providing a platform with this contest, to showcase their skill.

Everyone is welcome to participate, no matter your speaking experience level.

This contest will be held online via Shortstack.com. Shortstack.com is not a sponsor of this campaign and/or prize. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn are in no way affiliated with this campaign and/or prize.

ENTRY INFORMATION

Free for all participants. Must be 18 or older. US residents only.

​

NUMBER OF ENTRIES: Participants can only enter 1 time by uploading 1 video. Each participant must enter individually. One person will not be allowed to enter for someone else.

​

LATE ENTRIES: No entry will be accepted after June 22nd, 2021.

​

PAYMENT: This contest is free to enter as a participant and free to vote as an audience member.

No purchase necessary.

COMPETITION DETAILS

Rules:

•             No profanity/Adult language

•             No sexual content or reference thereof

•             No Nudity

•             No explicit content

•             No more than 30 sec

•             No less than 25sec

•             Only 1 Participant can be visible per video submission (No voice over)

•             1 video upload per participant

•             Must credit author at the start of video if using a published monologue or speech

•             Original monologue must be announced as written by participants name, if self-written

 

SCORING: Scoring will be based on most popular votes from the audience via shortstack.com

PRIZE: A cash prize of $100 will be awarded to the participant at the completion of the contest on June 23rd, 2021. Winner will be contacted by email. There will only be 1 winner per category at the completion of the contest. Only 2 categories Acting or Public Speaking. Winners will be announced on UTAP website June 23rd, 2021.

The 1 on 1 session will take place online on or before July 31st, 2021. The date and time of this 1-hour coaching session will be agreed upon by the instructor and participant! The same winner from each category will win a 1 on 1 session with the cash prize. This is not a separate prize.

If there is a tie of the same number of votes, within the same category, the participants with the highest number of the same number of votes, will be required to post a second video, different from the first, on June 23rd, before 12noon, using the same rules and regulations listed in the form. The tie breaker announcement will be announced on June 24th, 2021 on UTAP website. Cash Prize will be sent to the participant via PayPal in USD on June 24th, 2021.

MISCELLANEOUS RULES AND REGULATIONS

Good Sportsmanship, respect, and professionalism are expected from everyone who participates.

Those not complying with this rule will be disqualified and/or subject to removal from the contest.

It is agreed that all participants, parents, and/or guests will hold UTAP and its staff harmless from any

accident, injury during this video contest.

 

All participants and audience members voting, consent to the use of their comment, photograph and or video likeness for use in future promotions and or advertisements of UTAP.

Participants are required upload content via shortstack.com and complete the entry form to be considered a participant. It is not guaranteed that the participants video will be approved based on the rules and guidelines in this form.  Voters comments and votes may be deleted if they do not follow the rules and regulations listed in this form.

All voters decisions are final without dispute according to the rules in this form.

Personal and third-party photography, audio recording, and visual recording of the UTAP video contest, is strictly prohibited.
